Each year the Blue Hills Writing Institute has its summer session.  This year it's in August.  Details can be found at www.curry.edu, or by calling Curry College's department of continuing Education 617-333-0500.

The Blue Hills writing Institute also runs courses during the rest of the year, and the focus in every case is on Life Writing and the Memoir.

Many writers in these courses have completed their memoirs, a side benefit of which is that they've come to a place of understanding and peace about the events that have sometimes haunted them - as well as made them who they are.

Memoir writing as a practice that can lead anyone to greater spiritual awareness.  If we truly want to grow we may have to look within and this is an excellent way to do this.

Memoir writing allows us to let go of grief, pain, and guilt.  It gives us a new opportunity to reclaim the joy that is rightfully ours.

What Does It Cost?

That depends upon which courses you decide you want to take.  Price range from a couple of hundred dollars for a shorter course to $965 for a  week at the Blue Hills Writing Institute.

In these days of courses that cost thousands I think this is good value.
